Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (R&A) Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of refrigeration and air conditioning systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. A solid understanding of HVAC principles is essential for this role.
Job Details
• Install, commission, and service refrigeration and air conditioning systems (split units, VRF/VRV, chillers, industrial cooling units)
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC/R equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related faults
• Carry out repairs and replace components (compressors, condensers, evaporators, control boards, etc.)
• Handle refrigerants safely — recovery, recycling, and recharging
• Maintain accurate service records and advise clients on energy efficiency
• Respond to emergency breakdown calls
Requirements
Education & Certification:
• Minimum OND, Trade Test Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., City & Guilds, NABTEB, or industry-recognized HVAC/R certification) is an advantage.
Experience:
• Minimum of 2–4 years of hands-on experience in refrigeration and air conditioning work.
• Proven experience handling a variety of systems — residential, commercial, and industrial.
Technical Skills:
• Strong, working knowledge of HVAC principles and systems.
• Proficiency in refrigerant handling and gas charging procedures.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and technical schematics.
• Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and smart HVAC controls is an added advantage.
• Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge relevant to HVAC/R systems.
